and Monroe, Louisiana
Sign-Off and SSB recorded circa 1987
Page modified Saturday, 8 August 2020
The video commences with a "Come Home" musical station ID clip. Following this is a slickly-produced sign-off featuring views of KTVE's control room equipment and news truck. Though the NBC network instituted its present-day Peacock logo the year before this clip was recorded, KTVE was still using NBC's previous "Proud N" logo (1979-1986). The SSB film that follows is the ever-popular "Aim High America" produced by the United States Air Force. Then the signal is immediately terminated, and another Channel 10 appears in KTVE's place.
KTVE, licensed to El Dorado, Arkansas, serves Monroe and West Monroe. Louisiana as well as El Dorado with NBC network programs. Channel 10 was launched in December 1955 as KRBB-TV. It adopted the KTVE call sign in November 1958. KTVE has been an NBC affiliate for most of its days except for a period from August 1972 to December 1981 when it was an ABC network station.
