| On YouTube there has been numerous posting of analog TV sign-offs that were recorded simply by aiming a computer video camera at TV screens. I'm not a fan of those types of second-hand recordings and do not post them on this site. I make an exception here, for the quality of the clip is rather great, because it was a Sanyo HDTV that was used for the reception. For its analog farewell, Paducah's NBC network affiliate dusts off a January 1990 sign-off tape and runs this. It includes the very-familiar U.S. Air Force "Aim High" SSB film. Color bars are seen briefly before the picture goes to snow. |
