The New Year was only about three hours old when I captured this clip. As you'll notice, the station's logo also includes WGGT-TV 48 (Greensboro) along with Channel 45, for the two stations were jointly airing Fox programming at this time. The end of the SSB has a pic of the Channel 45 studio building, which still houses what is now "ABC 45" and is less than ten minutes from the Webmaster's home.This was the final version of the sign-off used by WNRW-TV, for in September of that year it would become WXLV-TV and be affilliated with ABC (the former ABC affiliate, High Point's WGHP-TV 8, was purchased by Fox during the summer, hence the switch). WGGT would affiliate with the United Paramount Network (UPN) and change its call sign to WUPN-TV around the same time.
