Sign-off of eastern North Carolina's CBS network affiliate, recorded during one of the Webmaster's numerous stays at Surf City/Topsail Island, NC. This was the first trip to Surf City that a VCR was brought along to record TV station sign-offs. The clip begins with a program promo (already in progress) for NewsCenter 9 featuring John Spence. Mr. Spence also renders the station sign-off announcement, which immediately follows. The SSB video featured here is one that WNCT-TV put together, a combination of various eastern North Carolina views, such as the State Capital building in Raleigh and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, and stock video of views of Washington DC and U.S. Air Force fighter jets.
