WJZY-TV 46, Belmont/Charlotte, North Carolina
Sign-Off recorded June 1993

Page modified Thursday, 2 July 2020

WJZY-TV, now Charlotte's Fox network station, began life in 1987 as a typical independent, with programming consisting mainly of classic sitcoms, cartoons and older Hollywood movies. By 1993, Channel 46 was moving away from its former program line-up (as was featured in their 1988-89 sign-on/off clip) and was featuring more recently-made flicks. This sign-off feaures a original rock-music theme and clips of films starring the likes of Pee Wee Herman, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, Charles Bronson, Jim Henson's Muppets, and other Hollywood stars of the 1980s and early 1990s.
