WJKA-TV Channel 26 (now WSFX), Wilmington, NC
Sign-On recorded circa 1990

Page modified Wednesday, 1 July 2020

Here is a WJKA-TV sign-on piece that differs from the one that appears in the Webmaster's own June 1993 recording of Channel 26's sign-on/sign-off. This clip uses video of downtown Wilmington, the Cape Fear River Bridge, and the World War II battleship, the USS North Carolina. In 1994 the station switched its network affiliation to Fox and become WSFX-TV, known nowadays as Fox Wilmington.

This clip was contributed by Matt Sittel of Bellview, Nebraska, who has supplied a number of videos featured on TV-signoffs.com. Sittle made this over-the-air recording while attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh during that time.
