Sign-on clip of South Carolina's Capital City's NBC Network station, contributed by John Pinckney of Pasadena CA. He recorded it at the home of Anita Garvin, his grandmother, who lived in South Carolina. The clip begins with about ten seconds of the classic WIS-TV B&W test pattern, followed by the sign-on announcement. Next up is a piece called People Make It Special, which is a credit roll of the entire WIS-TV staff at the time, a la Sacramento's KRBK-TV 31sign-off from 1986 (recognize anyone you might know?). The film montage that is part of this includes footage of University of South Carolina Gamecocks football and the Capital Building in Columbia.
