A thirty-second sign-off featuring only video of the front of WHIZ--TV's studio building followed by an animated station ID graphic. If an SSB film or anything followed the sign-off, it apparently was not included in this recording. WHIZ-TV is among the oldest continuously operating UHF-TV stations in the U.S., signing on in May 1953 on Channel 50, switching to Channel 18 two years later. WHIZ-TV has been an NBC-TV network affiliate since its inception, but had secondary affiliations with ABC, CBS and DuMont networks up until 1966. The station's call letters stand for "We're Here In Zanesville".

Video clip is from YouTube programmer capnvid47.
