| The flagship station of the Public
Broadcasting Service (PBS) network in Boston calls it a
night. WGBH-TV 2 is the originator of at least two-thirds
of the primetime programming seen on PBS. Among those
programs are Masterpiece, NOVA, Frontline and This
Old House. This WGBH-TV sign-off is in two parts: the first is a rather complex computer-generated animated sequence resembling the inside of a museum leading outside into the clouds. Revealed within the clouds are the names of local universities and cultural institutions that make up the WGBH Educational Foundation, the licensee of Channel 2. The second part is the sign-off announcement, delivered by Tom Dunn, accompanied by time-lapse video of the setting of the sun. RELATED
