The Piedmont Triad's long-time CBS affiliate ends its regular analog programming shortly before 10 AM local time. The clip commences with a WFMY-2 Newsbreak with Tanya Rivera and meteorologist Ed Matthews, followed by a promo for the CBS drama Numb3rs, and a WFMY "Food 2 Families" promotion. The sign-off announcement follows, which is rather brief and is visually accompanied by a very early WFMY-TV black-and-white test pattern, followed by an SSB video featuring U.S. flags in motion, presumably shot in downtown Greensboro. After some very brief static, News 2's thirty days of "nightlight service" begins, which was nothing but repeats of the NAB's DTV Answers program, supplying viewers with information and assistance concerning DTV. This clip was recorded by the Webmaster using an old VCR equipped with a rabbit-ear antenna, hence the fuzziness.

NOTE: The video files featured on this website are taken from my VHS home recordings of over-the-air and cable video captures, clips contributed by others and clips downloaded from YouTube and similar sites. The quality varies from clip to clip, due to TV reception and recording issues. None of the clips that are featured here have been authorized by the various television stations, networks or any other entity.
