| The Triad's long-time CBS affiliate used
this SSB clip at 5 AM Eastern time throughout much of the
1990s, with some variation in the logo at the end. This
1994 clip is preceded by a public service announcement
featuring the Two Crash Dummies and Don Knotts as Deputy
Barney Fife. The spot was produced mixing classic footage
of Barney from The Andy Griffith Show and new
footage with the Crash Dummies (shot in black-and-white,
of course). Don Knotts has since passed away (in 2006).
Veteran voice-actor Lorenzo Music, who provided the voice
for Vince the Crash-Dummy, died in 2001. Music was also
known as the unseen Carlton the doorman on the 1970s CBS
sitcom Rhoda as well as the voice of Garfield
the Cat in the animated Garfield specials and
Saturday-morning series in the 1980s and 1990s. RELATED CLIPS: |
