| The clip kicks off with the final moments of
that night's late movie, the 1965 thriller I Saw what
You Did, starring Joan Crawford. Following a brief
promo for Channel 29's 8 o'clock Movie comes the
SSB film featuring the United States Navy's Blue Angels
Filght Demonstration Squad. After this comes the sign-off
announcement, which utilizes video from a U.S. Marine
Corps SSB film featuring the Iwo Jima World War II
Memorial (that film with the SSB can be viewed on this page). This WFLX-TV
sign-off was apparently produced prior to its becoming
one of the charter affiliates of the Fox Television
Network in October 1986, for the station was proclaiming
itself as an independent. A big "hats-off" to Matt de Rojas of the Cameo Entertainment Group for supplying this clip to TV-signoffs.com. |
