Movie closing, Sign-Off/SSB recorded circa 1985
(Viewer Discretion Advised)

A late Saturday night sign-off of West Palm Beach's Fox station recorded the year before it would join the Fox Network as a charter affiliate. The video begins with the final minute of Channel 29's Saturday night cult favorite, The Bedtime Movies, hosted by lingere-clad ladies lying on a bed delivering suggestive comments during the two featured films. The hostess in this particular installment has a piece of chocolate stragetically placed on her left breast. One might think, judging from this low-quality recording, that it was the actual nipple showing.

The station sign-off itself utilizes the controversial practice of having the sign-off announcement done over the playing of the National Anthem film, which was not done in the 1987 WFLX-TV sign-off. The mailing address of WFLX-TV is given to give viewers a means of voicing their comments on programming (one wonders if they may have received any complaints about The Bedtime Movies). The clip wraps up with a few seconds of color bars and tone.
