WEFC-TV 38 (now WPXR), Roanoke, Virginia
Sign-Off and Sign-On recorded Autumn 1988

Page updated and modified Tuesday, 16 June 2020

Sign-Off and Sign-On, each recorded on different days, combined into one clip (my apologies for the picture "flipping" during the sign-on portion). Both feature live video scenes of the WEFC-TV studios and equipment. Channel 38 was launched in January 1986 as an independent station that aired Christian and family-friendly programming. The "EFC" in the calls stood for the Evangel Foursquare Church, the founders of Channel 38. Since 1997 it has been today's WPXR-TV, Roanoke's ION Network owned-and-operated station.
