Sign-off clip of Washington DC's CBS affiliate back when it was WDVM-TV. For many years before this it was known as WTOP-TV and owned by The Washington Post. The clip commences with a film Channel 9 ran at sign-off time for many years entitled "Meditation". "Meditation" is also the title of the music that accompanies the film. It is by Jules Massenent from his opera Thais, and is also known as "Meditation de Thais". Immediately following is the final design variation of the NAB's Seal of Good Practice, used in the early 1980s before the NAB abolished both their Radio and Television Codes.in 1983. After this comes the sign-off announcement, which is delivered by staff announcer Renee Chaney. The video concludes with the "Flag Evolution" Star Spangled Banner film.
