Channel 3's sign-off tape 1988 edition is similar to the 1987 version linked below, using the same female announcer and message. The exceptionis a new graphic featuring the WCAX-TV ID and translator station listings, in which a cartoon of a man in a top hat playing the cello is featured. The cartoon bear in nightshirt bidding the viewers "GOOD NIGHT" is retained from the 1987 version. The SSB in the earlier WCAX-TV sign-off is replaced by a "My Country Tis O' Thee" film produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as The Mormons.
