This Christmas Eve morning video from Ohio capital city's "10TV" features WBNS-TV late-night icon Fritz the Nite Owl (Frederick C. Peerenboom). He's shown here closing out his Nite Owl Theatre with holiday wishes for his audience and a great chroma-key visual effect for which he is best remembered. After a holiday station ID and a PSA from the Boy Scouts of America, Fritz the Nite Owl announces the start of a new telecasting day and introduces the National Anthem. The SSB video is a montage of photos of the Apollo 11 moon landing of 20 July 1969.

WBNS 10TV is the CBS Television Network affiliate station for central Ohio, and has been since 10TV began telecasting in October 1949. Along with Fritz the Nite Owl, 10TV's former employees included comedian Jonathan Winters and the late great TV writer and series creator Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery).
