| Combined sign-off and sign-on in one clip.
Apparently, there was a thunderstorm somewhere in or
around Knoxville the night the sign-off portion was
recorded, which would account for the static in both the
audio and video. The sign-on is in better shape and is
preceded by a WATE-TV 6 ID slide. Both clips has only the
first several seconds of the U.S. Air Force "Aim
High America" SSB film, seen in a number of other
sign-off clips on this site. The historic Greystone
Mansion featured in both clips was built after the Civil
War (a.k.a. The War Between The States, The Confederate
War and The Late Unpleasantness), and since the mid-1960s
has served as the home and studios of WATE-TV 6.
