Medford OR for sharing this weekend sign-off/on of the
CBS-TV network station that serves eight counties in
mountainous southern Oregon and northern California via a
whopping 27 translator/repeater stations. The clip
commences with a brief KTVL 50th anniversary station ID,
followed by the sign-off announcement. Next up is one of
the finest "America the Beautiful" video
montages the Webmaster has ever seen. Whether or not KTVL
itself produced this ATB video is not known. The sign-on
announcement follows thirty seconds of a silent
CGI-animated KTVL News 10 station logo graphic. As of this posting (January 2012), Freedom Communications, Inc. is selling KTVL, along with its other TV stations, to Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). RELATED
