| KTRK-TV Channel 13, Houston TX "Legalese" and SSB from 2009 (widescreen HD) |
| This clip from Houston' ABC Network owned-and-operated station is called a "legalese". It is aired by some 24/7 TV stations around 5:00 AM local time to signify the official beginning of the broadcast day, very much similar to the sign-on announcements of years past did. This is probaby the greatest example of a Legalese I've run across yet. It is chock full of HD video of the Houston skyline and KTRK-TV's production facilities. The SSB sequence is also in HD and features shots of various Washington DC landmarks as well of more footage of Houston and various other places, presumably in the state of Texas. KTRK-TV has been an full-time ABC affiliate since first signing on in November 1954, and an ABC O&O station since 1986. |
