The video begins with a quick KHSL-TV ID graphic, followeb by 45 seconds of black screen. Then comes video of KHSL's Studio-to-Transmitter Microwave link KML-92, which the Webmaster assumes is still in use today. There is a brief shot of Mount Shasta and stock clips of the North Valley with ground and helicopter shots of the station itself and the KHSL Radio building, which currently houses KNVN Channel 24, KHSL's sister station and NBC network affiliate. The SSB video that follows is one of numerous produced by the United States Air Force

KHSL-TV is the CBS network station for the Chico/Redding market and has been such since the station first took to the air in August 1953 as the first commercial TV station in the Northstate area (the 1952 date mentioned in this clip is mistaken). The AM radio station that birthed Channel 12, KHSL-AM 1290, moved to the FM band at 103.5 MHz in 1992.
