| The ABC Television Network's O&O station of the Bay Area calls it another night, but not before airing two public affairs featurettes. The first is Speak Freely, which features John Olmstead, president of the California Bay Area chapter of Volunteers of America, a nation service organization. Following a PSA for the American Diabetes Association comes a KGO-TV 7 editorial on "Bingo: New Boon To Charities", delivered by station president and general manager Len Spagnolett. The KGO-TV sign-off announcement is of the "drive-by" type, running a mere seven seconds and using a static "Circle 7" logo graphic. The SSB video is one that KGO-TV produced themselves, a video montage of local scenes using the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's recording of "The Star Spangled Banner". What is the deal with the big lightning strike that appears midway through the SSB video? |
