A fine example of what is called a "drive-by" sign-off, the announcement runs only for about twelve seconds before the video goes to black. The sign-off is preceded by a National Anthem film, highlighting U.S. military exploits during the Revolutionary War, the War Between the States, and World Wars I and II. KBIM-TV 10 signed on in Febrary 1966 as a stand-alone CBS network affiliate. In 1990 it became a satellite station of Albuquerque's CBS station KQRE, channel 13.
